Lemonde for Sale

Lemonade for sale was about a bunch of kids whose tree house was broken, but needed money for repairs. The couldn't find a way to raise money and were worried. But then they found some juggler to come preform which attracted people to get some lemonade which in turn raised more money to repair their treehouse. The book exemplified how to record data in an efficient and logical way, i.e. creating inputs and outputs in order to design a model for growth. Literature is an effective to tech kids a subject like math because it uses a catchy story and applies mathematical knowledge and basises to them. Kids may not realize that math is actually being presented in the text, but with it woven in, it creates for a fun learning experience.

  1. I think stories about lemoned whether selling them or having a setting a lemonade stand can be helpful for readers to understand Math. Thats because they are easy to follow.

  2. I like how this book portrays data recording in an efficient and relatable way. Every kid growing up had a lemonade stand in their neighborhood and because of this kids can view inputs and outputs in a way that makes sense for them as opposed to graphs and tables on a paper. Good example, definitely helped me understand these concepts better.
