1. My name is Samuel Lichtenstein.
2. Nickname's Sam.
3. My height is around 70".
4. I am 19 years old.
5. I wake up around 9 most days.
6. My favorite candy is a 100 Grand chocolate bar.
7. I like Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds as a snack.
8. I have a wide array of musical tastes, but a few of my favorites are Bruce Springsteen, The Band, Peter Gabriel, Dave Matthews Band, and The Roots.
9. Hobbies include reading, running, and listening to music.
10. The last class I took was Honors PreCalculus, but that was junior year of high school.
11. I performed pretty well in my math classes, but my main challenge will be approaching the subject after a year and a half off.

16. I'm taking this class because of the requirement, but I'd also like to take calculus at some point.

17. I may take Calculus at some point.

18. I hope to develop my math skills back to where they used to be, and then build on them.

19. I have an eye disease, so I may occasionally put eyedrops in during class. It's not a distraction but I find it's better if the instructor knows ahead of time. I'm proud to be from New Hampshire.

  1. Hi Samuel, It's nice to read your blog entry. I think a year and a half off is not very long, hopefully, with a little review you will remember back a lot of concepts.

  3. Hello Sam! Springsteen is the best. I saw him live in Jersey a few years ago on his birthday. Fantastic, as always. He didn't get off the stage until 1 in the morning but who is complaining...

  4. sam, thank you for your responses. i love that you love peter gabriel and the roots. they are awesome musicians! a year and a half of no math is not too bad. i think you will be fine in this class especially since it looks like you feel confident with many algebraic concepts.
